| About...
ProCAT is a privately held
company based in Calabasas, California. ProCAT was founded over
two decades ago. We have been serving the legal
transcription and entertainment markets.
Our
mission was to create innovative products to transition the users of antiquated
technologies to application of mainstream tools of the trade. We
believe that our effort has been a positive influence on the market and
we have single-handedly driven the market from "home-brewed"
solutions to PC-based systems.
ProCAT's products and services have
consistently been the yardstick by which other products have been
judged. We have created more innovative solutions for our clients
than all of our competitors combined.
ProCAT
was first to create a legal transcription and translation software that
was based on PC technology. Since the introduction of the first
transcription product, ProCAT has enhanced its offerings to further
expand its reach.
Products
offered today by ProCAT® include Winner, the most intelligent realtime
transcription software; CaptiVision®, an advanced closed-captioning
technology; Denoto™, litigation support software; Flash™, electronic
stenography machine; ProWriter™, an inexpensive electronic writer for the
students studying the arts of shorthand reporting; vScript™, a video-to-text synchronization software; AudioTrack™, text-to-audio
synchronization; eScript, electronic transcript delivery; vScript,
electronic transcript synchronized with video delivery; CataLEX™, court
records management software; and RiTE, a rapid text entry application.
ProCAT
was first to envision and to integrate "realtime" transcription
with the Internet. In fact, the Winner realtime transcript software
was the first Internet-enabled system that was used in 1997 to broadcast an Academy Award press conference over the
Internet.
Intelex,
a subsidiary of ProCAT, was officially spun off in 2000 to focus on serving the needs of the
entertainment industry. At Intelex, the mission is to stream
the most accurate and timely text to an end-user via the Internet or TV
broadcast. Furthermore, we will strengthen our offering by
creating strategic partnerships with media delivery companies to deliver
a moving content to a desktop or a set-top box.
