Checking Your Audio Settings in Dragon

 

1.    Double click Dragon Naturally speaking from the desktop.

 

 

 

2.    Select a User.

3.    Click Open.

 


 

 

 

 

  1. Bottom Right corner of your computer. Right Click on the Red Microphone.
  2. Select tools.
  3. Click Accuracy Center.
  4. Click Check your audio settings.
  5. Click next, and in the New User Wizard make sure the appropriate sound card is selected.

 

9.    The choice will usually be between USB pod and the onboard soundcard. If you are using a VXI or Andrea USB pod this will show as VXI USB 7.02 or USB audio Device.

10.  (When using this pod insert the stereo adapter into the pink connection that was provided by ProCAT).

 

11. Click next.

 

 

Audio check 

12. Follow the prompts to check the audio settings (i.e. read the two pieces of text, one for checking the volume and the second for checking sound quality).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click “Start Volume Check” make sure that you speak in your “Court Voice”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. If Volume check passes, Click Next.


 

 

  1. Click “Start Quality Check” make sure that you speak in your “Court Voice”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If sound quality is poor, Dragon will let you know. If you fail the audio check, sound quality issues, will need to be addressed before you continue. If there are no audio issues click Finish.
