Microsoft Windows 7 Readiness Statement
As you may have heard, Microsoft has released its new operating system (Windows 7) to the computer manufacturers. The computer manufacturers have started shipping laptop and desktop units with Windows 7. In some cases, they are shipping a Vista-based system with a free upgrade to Windows 7. This is the first phase in the Windows 7 distribution process. In the next phase, Microsoft will distribute its Windows 7 in the form of an upgrade CD to existing Windows XP and Vista users. We are writing to inform our valued Winner users (steno and voice editions) that we have completed Windows 7 compatibility tests with ProCAT Winner version 10.4. We are pleased to inform you that Winner 10.4 has successfully passed our scrutiny.

All indications are that Windows 7 will deliver on the promises that Vista has failed to fulfill. We are pleasantly surprised with the improved performance and simplicity of Windows 7.
Although our thorough tests have proved to be successful in our labs your peripherals may lack the appropriate drivers to work with Windows 7. We caution you to be prepared to upgrade your peripherals if needed when you purchase a Windows 7 computer. It is important to note that the lack of drivers for your peripherals is in no way a limitation in our software. Our software will work with the peripherals that Windows 7 will recognize.
