Archive Wizard and the Magic of ZIP Files.

We would like to share a little known feature about Winner's latest archiving utility, the Archive Wizard (commonly known as ArcWiz). ArcWiz is a quick and simple way to share files, EVEN if the recipient does not have ProCAT software.  ArcWiz files are recognized and restored by other popular software programs such as WinZip and even Windows XP.

ArcWiz gathers the selected files, squeezes them together into one package, assigns a filename to it, and affixes a .zip" to the end of it.  The ".zip" part is called the file extension.  The file extension identifies what type of file it is.  Software applications look at the file extension, and if recognized, will open the file.  The great thing about .zip files created by Archive Wizard is their common format and compatibility with other compression programs.
